Heavy Equipment Service Manager for well established client with GREAT BENIFITS (see bottom of post), Temp-to-Hire West Houston
A minimum of two years of experience with diesel, hydraulic and electrical diagnosis and repair on heavy equipment. Primary duties include directing the repair of construction equipment in our company shop and at customer job-sites, performing preventative maintenance, assisting with the check in and out of equipment, assist with reviewing safety operations of equipment with employees as needed and additional duties as required. OT may be required. Assist management with equipment purchases.
Responsible for the daily operation including managing shop staff, employee
training on company equipment, equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, and
Lead / Supervise/ Teach Technicians in shop and Field
Aid in diagnosing and repairing equipment including compactors, excavators, loaders,
dozers and other heavy construction equipment in the area.
Plan and establish systems to control expenses.
Organize & approve vendor invoices
Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies to assure repairs can be met on a timely
Maintain company operating facilities in clean, orderly, and safe condition.
Respond promptly to equipment needs in a positive, supportive and timely manner to
ensure maximum value for work performed.
Communicate job progress to supervisor as needed.
Supervise Daily Workflow (workload, resources, and equipment processes).
Support and communicate regularly with Field Teams.
Organize, document and maintain procedures for all Service functions.
Specific industry experience desired or an equivalent college degree.
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience.
Knowledge of Diesel Engines, hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems
and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems
Possess the necessary problem-solving skills to meet the needs of our employees.
Required to maintain a valid driver’s license
