Job Title: Ropes Assembly Technician Trainee

Location: Bernalillo, NM

Shifts: Day (7AM – 330PM – Monday-Friday), Swing (3PM – 1130PM – Monday-Friday), and Grave (11PM – 730AM – Sunday-Thursday)

Starting Pay Rate (Weekly Pay): $15.00/hr

Description/Responsibilities:

• Machine-assisted assembly of wire ropes used in a variety of safety applications such as: Avalanche Barriers, Debris Flow Barriers, Rockfall Barriers, and Slope Stabilization.

• Ropes Assembly Technician os responsible to adhere to all factory standards including: Safety, Code of Conduct, 5S, Quality Inspections, and Attendance Policy.

• Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify supervisor or lead of any malfunctions or issues experienced.

• Must be a team-player and excellent communicator.

• Constant standing and walking is required. Must be able to lift up to 40lbs occasionally. Manual pulling and cutting of ropes using a chop saw, hydraulic press, and band saw is required.

• Ability to be place into machine operator roles, as needed, during ropes work inactivity.

• Other duties may be required on a regular basis as requested by the Shift Supervisor or Production Supervisor and in consideration of employee’s abilities. Sound judgment is to be exercised at all times by the employee and in a manner consistent with company policies, guidelines and values.
