Immediately hiring Aviation Sheet Metal Mechanics for a large manufacturing company. Will be fabricating sheet metal for aviation parts.
Pay is $16-$20/hr. depending on experience
Shift is Mon-Fri 7am-4:30pm
Duties:
- Fabricate, assemble, and install aircraft sheet metal components and structures according to technical specifications and safety standards
- Perform repairs and modifications on existing aircraft structures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine specifications and necessary materials
- Utilize various tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and welding machines, to complete tasks effectively
- Conduct inspections of sheet metal work to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards
- Connects pieces or secures seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws
- Performs assigned work on assembly lines such as punching holes for screws or bending gutters
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including repairs, modifications, and inspections
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Aviation Sheet Metal Mechanic
- Having the A&P License is a plus
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with aviation maintenance regulations and standards (e.g., FAA regulations).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience in development from blueprints or mylars
- Familiar with fitting, bending, rolling, and riveting, use of power brake on aircraft allows.
- Must have own tools
