Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Analyst. In this role, you will ensure that customers are billed accurately and on time, monitor accounts receivable, oversee revenue intake, and collaborate with other departments to maintain billing accuracy. The ideal candidate has a strong background in invoicing, financial analysis, and customer service, and will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoicing: Issue accurate invoices and correspond with clients to resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Accounts Receivable: Monitor accounts receivable, ensure timely payments, and track transaction history.
- Revenue Intake: Oversee and manage the company's revenue intake, ensuring timely deposits and reconciliations.
- Billing Procedures: Analyze current billing procedures, identify areas for improvement, and implement more efficient processes.
- Customer Service: Answer customer questions regarding their bills, resolve billing complaints, and provide a high level of service.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (such as Sales, Operations, and Customer Service) to ensure billing accuracy and consistency.
- Contract Management: Manage new contracts and sales agreements, ensuring proper documentation and billing arrangements.
- Analytical Reports: Prepare and present analytical reports on billing and revenue metrics to stakeholders and management.
- Audits: Support monthly and quarterly audits, perform clean-ups, and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in billing, invoicing, or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain billing procedures and resolve disputes.
- Analytical mindset and ability to identify areas for process improvement.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Familiarity with contract management and revenue recognition processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and audit requirements.
