CNC Operator – PAY RATE DOEThe Lathe Operator will be responsible for running CNC lathe equipment to produce product in a high mix moderate volume environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The responsibilities for this position shall include but is not limited to the following:• Operate CNC lathes including set-ups / changeovers, offsets, change inserts, tooling, etc.• Proficient in the use of standard measuring devices• Trouble shoot any problems that may occur during operation• Provide in-process inspection• Achieve production output and quality per standards• Demonstrate basic manufacturing line knowledge and participate in process improvement• Read and comprehend moderately complex instructions.• Maintain a safe and clean environment• Complete tasks as assigned with limited supervision• Other duties may be required.QUALIFICATIONS:• Minimum 1 years of experience as CNC lathe operator in a machine shop or production environment• Experience with FANUC controls, preferred• Experience in a high mix moderate volume operation• Ability to use micrometers, calibers, other measurement instruments• Must be able to operate multiple machines simultaneously• Must be a team player• Must consistently be at work and on time• Must have passion & enthusiasm for workSKILLS & ABILITIES:• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and respond to urgent customer requirements 24/7 as necessary, while maintaining meticulous follow-up and process execution.• Desire to use appropriate standards, policies, and procedures.• Ability to work effectively in both an individual and team environment.• Excellent organizational and time management skills.• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
