Currently taking applications for a CNC Press Brake Machinist for a large metal fabrication shop on the northeast side of San Antonio.
Pay is up to $28hr. based on experience.
Morning shift Mon-Fri starting at 7am (8–10-hour shifts)
Duties:
- Set up, operate, and program CNC press brake machines to fabricate metal components according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine fabrication processes
- Program CNC machines using appropriate software and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired tolerances and specifications
- Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards and specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine operation, tooling, or programming as they arise
- Use CNC machine to bend, cut, and punch metal into precision parts
- Checks height, depth, and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges, and other precision-measuring instruments
- Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake
- Work with tight tolerances
- Produce parts for assembly operations
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on machine
- Inspect all finished products
- Cut, shape, and finish metal according to specs
Requirements:
- Seeking at least 4 yrs. Press Brake experience
- Previous Press Brake operation and programming experience required
- Must be able to set up the CNC Press Brake
- Previous experience operating and programming digital/computerized Press Brake machines
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints/schematics
- Previous metal fabrication a manufacturing shop required
- Must have problem-solving, time-management, and technical skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and extreme temperatures
