Pay: $18/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
SUMMARY: Accepts payments made in person and/or over the phone, and processes payments ensuring that a high level of security and customer service is maintained.

REQUISITES:
- Effective verbal and written communication with both external and internal customers
- 10 key by touch.
- Computer skills.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Compiles and verifies credit-card data from vouchers and other records and computes charges and payments due to establishment to keep records of sales paid by credit card transactions
- Compares charges on vouchers with audit tape to detect errors and correct faulty vouchers.
- Computes totals, discounts, net charges, and amounts due, using a calculator and adding machine, and posts to account journals
- Creates, maintains, and closes batches
- Occasionally verifies customers' account balances to expedite issues to the proper department prior to accepting payment
- Contacts plants and verifies customer balance, date of product delivery, and customer payment details.
- Accepts multiple calls a day from customers, plants, dispatchers
- Maintains a professional customer service response to all callers
- Strictly maintain and comply with State and Federal Laws which regulate the handling of confidential and personal information regarding both customers/clients and its other employees, etc.
- Credit card processing and reconciliations will occur daily, weekly, and as needed in order to balance transactions as needed.
- Cross-training to other positions in the department to provide backup as needed.
