Dealer Product Refund Specialist Opening, San Antonio, TX

What You Will Do:

Performs a variety of administrative duties that require knowledge of dealer products (Gap & Credit Life & Disability insurance), and Providers to ensure the timely cancellation of these products and receipt of the refunds to the borrower.

Receives daily reports on all indirect loans with early payoffs that include Gap, credit life and credit disability.

Runs approved filters to eliminate loans deemed unlikely to be eligible for refunds.

Notifies the member that they may be eligible for a refund and to contact the dealer and provider.

Notifies the selling dealer that the loan has been paid in full and to provide the pro-rated refund to the member.

Notifies the product provider administrator that the loan was been paid in full and to provide the pro-rated refund to the member.

Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.

What We Will Require:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum two (2) years of experience in indirect lending with knowledge of dealer products, loan documentation, dealership back-office operations and applicable insurance laws relating to the borrowers right to unearned premiums on specific products.

Good problem solving and negotiation skills.

Able to work and thrive in a high volume environment.

Good interpersonal skills including good verbal and written communication skills of a professional nature.

Good math, verbal and written communication skills.

Follow work schedule utilizing correct auxiliary codes while adhering to attendance and punctuality policy.

Able to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to perform in a high-volume environment, completing tasks within established time frames.

Independent judgment in resolving problems, deferring only unusual cases to management. Able to type 45 w.p.m. and operate standard office equipment, calculator, fax, copier, etc.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of federal, state and NCUA regulations.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

Maintains and updates database for all dealers, and their product providers.

Follows-up to ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.

Conducts the necessary random sampling based upon the population size to ensure the level of confidence is within the determined acceptable margin of error.

Prepares necessary reports to document activities and results.
