Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Die Cutter Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining die-cutting equipment while ensuring the production of high-quality products. This role involves training team members, adhering to production schedules, and maintaining equipment for optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up print and die cut sections of the die-cutting machine following standard procedures.
  • Inspect cutting dies and anilox rolls before and after each run, ensuring all bolts are secure and any necessary repairs are addressed.
  • Monitor box quality for issues such as loose liner, warp, correct size, and print.
  • Operate machinery efficiently to maximize capacity and speed.
  • Train and assist First Helper and Bundlers with machine duties; cross-train on other equipment as needed.
  • Complete and submit accurate reports, including production data, machine operational status, safety, and quality data.
  • Submit maintenance work orders and proactively maintain equipment.
  • Follow production schedules and suggest improvements to optimize costs, quality, and service.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
Required Skills
  • Proficient in setting up and operating die-cutting machinery.
  • Ability to inspect and repair cutting dies and other equipment components.
  • Strong understanding of box quality standards (liner, warp, size, and print).
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Cross-training on multiple machines.
  • Experience training and leading machine operators.
  • Knowledge of production schedules and optimization strategies.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating die-cutting or similar machinery.
  • Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of die-cutting equipment.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Previous leadership or training experience in a machine operator role.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle machinery and tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Work Location: In person
