Document Control Specialist – The Woodlands, TX

Responsibilities:

Provides assistance to the QHSE Lead and QC/QA as directed in order to implement systems of document control.

Responsible for assisting and supporting all API & ISO related functions of the company. This includes but is not limited to data collection, serial number and certification activities, testing activities, data book preparation, inspection and final shipping documentation and support functions to all departments as necessary to insure accurate API/ISO and quality control and quality assurance records and reports are maintained.

Responsible for assisting the QC/QA Department in the data collection used for the quality management system and certifications for all jobs

Primarily involved in sampling, measuring and verifying that manufactured products meet pre-determined quality standards where necessary in the companies processes.

Accountable to scan, image, organize and maintain documents, adhering to the company’s document lifecycle procedures, and they archive inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule given by the companies standards.

Responsible for assisting in the data entry functions required to accurately and timely move the information on the unit data sheets to prepare customer data books.

Responsible for assisting the preparation and assembly of the customer and unit data books.

Maintain the flow of both electronic and hard-copied controlled documents, department files and resource materials within the companies system and customer.

Participate in QC/QA production planning as instructed, to support clear communications throughout the Companies quality department.

Provide assistance in organizing files as required for the Company QC/QA quality management system.

Ensuring that all departments of the organization are following the same procedures with regards to documents.

Involves checking and approving documents before they are filed and liaising with internal and external agencies to ensure that documents contain correct and understandable information regards their categorization.

Assists the QHSE Lead with special projects as instructed.
Requirements:
-
High School diploma and 1 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. API Q1 preferred / ISO 9001 preferred.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Adobe Suites, Spreadsheet software and an ERP software (Global Shop Solutions a plus).
