Pay: $16 plus OTLocation: Moriarty, NM Description:The primary role of the Driver’s Helper is to assist the Driver in providing timely, efficient, safe, and courteous hauling service to customers along an assigned route.Responsibilities:– Assist in staging and dumping carts, bins, and bulky items.- Learn and navigate the assigned route.- Clean up spills and return bins to their proper areas.- Guide vehicle maneuvers, prioritizing public safety.- Use in-cab electronic systems for routing and service requirements.- Communicate with dispatch and supervisors via radio.- Follow hazardous waste handling and disposal procedures.- Report accidents, injuries, or maintenance issues promptly.- Adhere to safety regulations, rules, and procedures.- Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.- Participate in training to enhance skills and service.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:– Understanding of waste and recycling collection principles.- Basic knowledge of truck mechanics and parts.- Familiarity with job site health and safety regulations.- Positive attitude and accountability.- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.- Ability to use on-board electronic routing systems.
