Job Purpose: The primary goal of this position is to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the Dryer department. The Maintenance Technician will assist the Dryer Supervisor by taking on leadership roles, performing preventative maintenance, and managing inventories.
Position: Maintenance Technician with Lead Duties
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Technician Duties:
- Perform essential maintenance tasks, including replacing conveyor belts, motors, butterfly valves, filter socks, greasing machinery, and swapping out mesh screens, augers, paddles, clutch pads, and propane cylinders.
- Manage spare part inventory, generate work notifications/orders, and issue parts using SAP.
- Utilize a variety of tools such as drills, airlines, air hammers, hoists, and impact tools.
- Apply strong troubleshooting skills to make timely and informed decisions.
Lead Duties:
- Operate the Dryer process and provide backup support for the Dryer Supervisor, including shift coverage as needed.
- Execute basic SAP transactions for process orders and spare parts.
- Operate Front Loader and Stand Up/Sit Down Forklifts (certification provided by Clariant).
- Train and mentor new employees to ensure skill development and adherence to standards.
- Develop and update work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain quality control documentation, digital logs (spreadsheets), and manage email communications and shift pass-downs.
- Complete Safety Deviations and generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary.
- Assist in loading live loads using forklifts for trailer shipments.
- Lead and coordinate Kaizen improvement projects to optimize processes.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Ability to pass and maintain forklift certification.
- Strict adherence to Clariant safety regulations.
- Compliance with Clariant's attendance policy.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments, including hot and cold conditions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to safety and quality standards.

- 6am – 4:30 pm
Pay:
- $26 – $29
