The Equipment Inspector role involves boxing and unboxing equipment, inspecting and auditing inbound computer equipment, and recording hardware specifications. You will enter commands, monitor system functions, diagnose issues, grade machines, and update inventory status. Maintaining a clean work area and adhering to safety protocols are essential. Qualifications include the ability to perform duties satisfactorily with possible accommodations for disabilities. Responsibilities:
- Box and unbox equipment as specified.
- Inspect and audit inbound computer equipment for buy/sell and off-lease returns.
- Record hardware specifications of incoming items (e.g., model, manufacturer, memory, hard drive, CPU).
- Enter commands and monitor system functions to ensure proper operation and network connectivity.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues.
- Grade machines based on physical appearance (A through D) during the inbound audit process.
- Update inventory system to reflect the status of items (e.g., pending audit, pending repair, available).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and equipment operation.
