Job Title: Equipment Inspector
Overview:
The Equipment Inspector is responsible for boxing and unboxing equipment, inspecting inbound computer hardware, and recording specifications. This role includes running system diagnostics, grading machines, updating inventory status, and ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
The Equipment Inspector is responsible for boxing and unboxing equipment, inspecting inbound computer hardware, and recording specifications. This role includes running system diagnostics, grading machines, updating inventory status, and ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Box and unbox equipment as instructed.
- Inspect and audit inbound computer equipment (buy/sell and off-lease returns).
- Record hardware details such as model, manufacturer, memory, hard drive, and CPU.
- Enter system commands, monitor functions, and ensure proper network connectivity.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues.
- Grade equipment based on physical condition (A-D scale).
- Update inventory system to reflect the current status (e.g., pending audit, repair, or available).
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform all essential duties, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, business procedures, and regulations.
- Clear communication and business correspondence skills.
- Basic arithmetic for calculating rates, ratios, and percentages.
