Pay: $20+ per hour
Schedule:
  • Training Only: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
  • Standard Shifts: Rotating days, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
Job Summary:
Join our team as an Extrusion Machine Operator, where you will play a critical role in manufacturing high-quality disposable plastic containers for food retail. You’ll be responsible for ensuring machinery is calibrated, operating efficiently, and meeting all production standards to maintain top product quality. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, self-driven, and committed to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, adjust, and test extrusion machines at the start of each shift to ensure optimal pressure, speed, temperature, and overall functionality.
  • Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and weight checks of components weekly to verify compliance with company and industry standards, making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and shift supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve any issues as they arise.
  • Report and address equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Perform bimonthly maintenance using regulated cleaning solutions, grease guns, oil cans, and other tools to ensure machines are clean and well-maintained.
  • Conduct repairs on equipment when necessary and replace worn-out or defective components.
  • Select, install, and replace cutters, molds, and other machine parts to maintain peak efficiency.
Required Experience:
  • 12–24 months of experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Experience troubleshooting in a high-production environment
  • Prior experience in quality control or machine maintenance in plastics manufacturing
Required Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in general to advanced machine maintenance
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with extrusion machinery and plastics manufacturing
  • Basic mechanical repair and component replacement skills
