JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Facility Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is an entry level position that will receive on-the-job training to learn how to repair, maintain, perform preventive/predictive maintenance and perform minor repairs in the skilled crafts trades to include, but are not limited to, plumbing, painting, air conditioning, carpentry, grounds keeping, fire alarm, and electrical. May be assigned to evening or weekend schedule.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:· Works under close supervision and guidance from the Lead Maintenance Technician.· Clean Mechanical rooms to ensure a safe, uncluttered work environment.· Perform preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC-R equipment such as changing filters, lubricate bearings, check belt tension and adjust, replace as required. Clean coils, blowers, drip pans, condensate lines, fan motors.· Perform basic plumbing work to include replacing aerators, faucets, flush valve assemblies and parts.· Perform basic electrical work such as replacing light bulbs, light switches, outlets.· Perform basic painting work such as drywall/plaster repair and apply paint using roller and brush.· Install shelving and hang picture frames.· Perform general custodial, and trash removal tasks.· Move and relocate office furniture.· Use a computerized maintenance system for tracking work orders.· Respond to simple trouble calls concerning heating and cooling.· Comply with all Safety guidelines.· Respond to after hour emergencies. · May be required to participate in call back rotation.· Must be flexible with schedule, weekends and afterhours will be likely.· Demonstrate and embodies our values: Be Limitless, Be Resilient, Be People Centered, Be a Team, and Be Trustworthy· · Other duties as assigned.
