Immediately hiring a Flexo Printing Operator for a large manufacturing company in Schertz.
Pay is $17-$19/hr. depending on experience
Shift is Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm and Saturdays as required – must be flexible to work Mon-Sat
Duties:
- Set up and operate various types of printing presses (e.g., offset, digital, flexographic)
- Review job orders to determine specifications such as quantities to be printed, colors, and stock types
- Adjust press settings to achieve desired print quality and color accuracy for manufactured corrugated material
- Monitor press operations during production runs to ensure quality and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve any printing issues that may arise during production
- Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment and assist with repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate production records and logs, including job status, quantities produced, and any defects
- Set-up rails, print, and die cut section on Flexo accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques
- Inspect all dies before and after a run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run
- Ensure all bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly secured
- Monitor box quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and print
- Check anilox rolls for damage
Requirements:
- Seeking at least 1-2 yrs. of experience operating a press and/or flexo machine
- Bilingual preferred
- Strong understanding of printing processes, materials, and equipment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
- Previous corrugated manufacturing experience is a plus
