Position: Flexographic Press Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and operating the flexographic press.
- Load and unload print sleeves from the press and storage racks.
- Load and unload material rolls for printing.
- Inspect printed sheets for quality defects, including plate lift or dirty prints.
- Retrieve ink from the ink room for upcoming jobs and return unused ink. Ensure proper ink viscosity.
- Operate and monitor the press in the absence of the operator.
- Clean print stations, ink pumps, anilox rolls, and plate sleeves.
- Clean and rebuild ink chambers as needed.
- Monitor and replace solvent/waste drums, ensuring they are emptied and palletized properly.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including:
- Recycling set-up rolls.
- Emptying scrap boxes and trash cans.
- Sweeping and mopping the floor, and cleaning any spilled ink.
- Ensuring used rags and pan liners are properly dried before disposal.
- Adhere to all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Dependable and willing to learn.
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in reading and writing English.
- Capable of reading a standard tape measure.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Willing to work overtime, including weekends.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Shift:
- Monday – Friday
- 6am – 3:30 pm
Pay:
- $16
