VIP Staffing South Dallas is hiring for a Packer Lead for a Food Production plant located in 75247
Shift:
- Monday – Friday (Saturday when needed)
- 3pm – 11pm
- Must Train on 1st
Pay:
- $17-$20
Essential Job Duties
- Ensure production flow and maintain team on schedule.
- Prepare and Set-up packing equipment, utensils, and materials pre-production
- Monitor product flow through Packing equipment through finished product
- Responsible for allocation and updating packaging material inventory
- Assist in preventative maintenance duties through coordination with Maintenance Team
- Monitor Employee lunch breaks and breaks.
- Direct and train personnel on safety procedures involving all Packing equipment and materials
- Communicate company policies and procedures as well as GMP
- Daily assignment and movement of personnel in Packing area to effectively meet production requirements.
- Report any food safety and/or quality issues to Production Manager immediately.
- Perform other duties as required
- Cross train in other areas of the company for fill in or other assignments when needed.
- In the absence of Packing Lead, Packing Supervisor will cover his/her responsibilities.

- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Perform tasks with accuracy and speed
- Proven ability to set priorities, to pay attention to detail, and to manage multiple tasks
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; one to two years’ experience
- Experience with Food and Beverage industry preferred
Sanitation
- Sweep floor, wash the trays, tables, wash carts, short simple conveyor, squeegee the water off the floor, throw out garbage. wash ross machine, allpac, metal detector, moving part conveyor, spiral freezer, Adco machine
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend for virtually entire shift.
- Occasionally required to balance or climb.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
