Help Desk Technician Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support over the phone

  • Use remote assistance tools to connect to customer computers

  • Perform initial support tasks, gathering contact information, analyzing and documenting issues

  • Perform logical troubleshooting by applying knowledge and analytical thinking

  • Document troubleshooting steps and confirm resolution of reported trouble

  • Performs maintenance and repair services

  • Review, troubleshoot and approve operational quality of desktops, notebooks, printers, and associated peripherals

  • Perform IT duties as directed

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3 years of desktop support, customer support and/or helpdesk experience

  • 3 years of experience working with Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy and related.

  • Office productivity applications, email clients, and various other applications

  • Experience with end-user support process (first-call resolution, problem tracking, prioritization)

  • SUPERB written and verbal communications skills

  • Must be dependable, punctual and have a can-do attitude

  • Must be detail oriented, self-starter, with ability to manage shifting priorities

  • Quickly acquire and adapt new skills in a fast-paced, cooperative team environment

  • Must have own form of reliable transportation

  • Ability to lift/move/carry boxes or equipment weighing up to 25lbs

  • Sense of Humor – We’re a work hard / play hard kind of team
