Human Resources Manager

Job Description:

Responsible for the daily management of HR activities including the daily activities and policies and procedures.

JOB Duties:

  • Supervise the HR Generalist and other assigned staff as requested by the CEO

  • Manage HR related activities, including staffing compensation, managing records, pay roll and employee relation.

  • Reviews and recommends policy and procedure update for the Personnel Policies and Procedures in compliance with federal and state employment regulations.

  • Administers various employee benefits programs including group medical/vision, dental, life and supplemental insurances.

  • Manages liability insurance claims.

  • Submit work related injury documentation to Work Comp carrier, track injuries and Osha 300 logs and postings

  • Supports recruiting and hiring functions by screening and interviewing applicants.

  • Conducts new employee orientations and staff trainings as needed. Maintains the backup details and spreadsheets of all staff training.

  • Provides HR backup details for grants, liability applications, contracts, accreditation, etc.

  • Identifies and addresses personnel issues and implementing solutions, including performance improvement plans, verbal and written warnings, termination, coaching and counseling.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality for HR related issues

  • Oversees the agency’s privileging and credentialing procedures including maintaining and updating provider spreadsheets that are reviewed quarterly by the CEO and the Board.

  • Maintains and updates employee job descriptions.

  • Maintains and ensures adherence to annual employee performance evaluations.

  • Oversees the agency’s hiring process including conducting interviews, reference checks, etc.

  • Assists in the planning and implementation of agency-wide activities/events as requested by the CEO.

  • Oversees and ensures the orderliness of all of personnel files which are subject to Federal, state, and other funding reviews.

  • Participates on committees when requested by the CEO.

  • Ensures the update of salary scale and conducts annual analyses which are reviewed by the CEO.

  • Ensures adherence to requirements.

  • Participates and assist in audits (E.g., federal, state, local, etc.)

  • Other duties assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business required.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as HR Supervisor/Manager.

  • Highly proficient with MS Office, Excel and other data bases

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast pace environment.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Must be able to maintain backup documentation on almost all of the HR activities. This includes creating spreadsheets, graphs, etc.

  • Must be have excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to maintain professionalism.

Experience:

  • Relevant: 5 years (Preferred)

  • Human Resources: 3 years (Required)

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s (Required)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • May be asked to participate in evening and/or weekend events/activities
