Primary Job Title: Inbound Associate
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Job Summary
The Inbound Associate is responsible for inspecting and processing inbound freight, ensuring accurate accounting of items received into the warehouse. Additional duties include assisting with various warehouse operations, such as shelving, order pulling, and inventory preparation. This role requires efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inspect, unload, and record incoming shipments, noting shortages, overages, or damage.
- Verify items and quantities against packing slips and record discrepancies.
- Separate merchandise by product category and verify serial numbers when applicable.
- Operate powered equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Conduct inventory checks on a bi-monthly basis or as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Pull orders for shipment.
- Perform invoicing tasks.
- Shelve merchandise as directed.
- Bag and tag inventory for shipment preparation.
Required Experience:
- No prior supervisory experience required.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or receiving preferred but not mandatory.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience operating powered equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
Required Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Basic math skills for inventory checks and reconciliation.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Organizational skills for categorizing and shelving inventory.
- Familiarity with receiving processes and quality assurance.
- Experience in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to talk, hear, walk, and use hands for handling items.
- Frequent standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, and kneeling.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Visual acuity for close, distance, and peripheral vision.
