Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Painter to enhance the appearance and durability of our equipment. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on industrial machinery components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces of machinery components by cleaning, sanding, and removing old paint to ensure proper adhesion of new coatings.
- Apply primers, paints, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to achieve desired surface qualities.
- Mix and match paints to achieve specific colors and textures as required.
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality, making necessary touch-ups or corrections to meet company standards.
- Maintain painting equipment and work areas, ensuring tools are clean and in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a painter in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with various painting techniques and tools, including spray equipment.
- Experience in surface preparation and finishing for metal components.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Experience with painting large machinery or equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial coatings and their applications.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in selecting and applying appropriate paints and finishes for industrial machinery.
- Ability to mix paints to achieve specific colors and consistencies.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns and compressors.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members.
