Junior System Administrator Opening, San Antonio, TX

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., 100% onsite position 
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage user accounts, email, OneDrive, SharePoint via Office 365 Admin portal.
  •  Utilize Azure services to facilitate various administrative tasks and ensure seamless operation of cloud-based solutions.
  •  Assist Help Desk support for end users, including break/fix support, adding/moving/changing requests, and peripheral device assistance (e.g., printers, phones, tablets) using our ticketing system.
  •  Promptly respond to incoming support requests (via phone, chat, email, or text) in a professional manner.
  •  Assess incoming issues and offer assistance using the appropriate resources and documentation.
  •  Document incoming issues and relevant activities within our ticketing system. Entries should be detailed, accurate, and complete.
  •  Complete all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  •  Follow appropriate escalation procedures for issues beyond the scope of your expertise.
  •  Administer the Mobile Device Management (MDM) system to ensure the security and functionality of mobile devices within the organization.
  •  Regularly review and update knowledge on supported products, technologies, and compliance requirements as stipulated by the US Government for government contracts.
  •  Use available lab equipment and resources for effective troubleshooting. Ensure resources are returned to their proper condition after use.
  •  Install and configure both custom and commercial software (Windows, Office, and other tools) in accordance with US Government compliance regulations.
  •  Assist in managing desktop deployment and operating system images.
  •  Support the maintenance of servers to uphold business processes and applications, ensuring compliance with government requirements.
  •  Assist in administering Active Directory domain, DNS, and DHCP.
  •  Help maintain and support IT networking infrastructure, including networking, wireless, MDM, and firewalls, in alignment with government standards.
  •  Participate in the execution, monitoring, and verification of backups for data and critical systems, adhering to government compliance regulations.
  •  Contribute to enhancing routine operations by increasing standardization and assisting in the automation and scripting of tasks.
  •  Perform off-hours maintenance tasks to minimize business disruption or downtime.
  •  Help maintain documentation of the IT environment, ensuring it meets US Government compliance standards.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with O365, Azure, Veeam Backups, MDM, and ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of technologies and compliance requirements necessary for US Government contracts.
  • Industry certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to work as a team player and communicate effectively.
  • Problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced IT environment.
