Machine Operator – Horizontal Band Saw

Client is located in the Oak Cliff area.

CANDIDATES WILL NEED TO HAVE PREVIOUS CNC, PUNCH PRESS, OR PRESS BRAKE EXPERIENCE.

Pay is $14/Hr

Job Description:

• Saw Operator is responsible for loading multiple steel bars into a “nest” on the saw feed table, then cutting the bars to length. Must be familiar with automated band saw or metal working machinery and have the ability to work successfully in a fast paced production environment.

• Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manually load bars onto the saw cutting feed table and secure by strapping and welding.

• Accurately read a tape measure to 1/16” measurements to confirm bars cut to proper length.

• Must be able to routinely lift 50 lbs. and lift up to 75 lbs.

• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Good communication skills.

• Basic math skills, must be able to convert fractions to decimals.

• Ability to stand and lift continuously during shift.

• Prior experience with automated metal working machinery.

1ST SHIFT 6:00AM-2:30PM

2ND SHIFT 2:30PM-11:00PM

3RD SHIFT 10:00PM-6:00AM
