VIP Staffing is currently seeking MACHINE OPERATORS to partner with one of the largest automobile manufacturers located on the South Side of San Antonio! We are looking for hard working and dedicated individuals who are looking to start a new career with a great company!

Pay Rate: 13.00/hr (0.40 shift rotation differential)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturdays)

• 4 week rotation

Essential Functions:

• Tends spot and arc welding equipment that joins fasteners and metal components together.

• Manually positions work-piece against stops or on pins to align in machine.

• Places parts in and removes completed parts from machine that automatically welds.

• Observes operation of machine to detect malfunctioning, and reports malfunctions to supervisor.

• Inspects joined components for defects and test fits in jig per work protocol.

• May also use manually manipulated automatic welders to complete some processes.

• Moves part(s) from machine and places in process stages or onto rack/tote.

• Many processes considered in Welding include the assembly of parts that may include pressing, bolting and use of clips to complete parts.

• Performs deconstruction in specific areas to test and inspect finished product for quality of weld and assembly.

• Uses hammers, pry bars, torque wrench and air chisel to forcibly disassemble, either partially or completely, various parts that are welded together.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED PREFERRED

• MINIMUM 1 year experience in Production and/or Manufacturing

• MUST have Valid Driver’s License

• MUST be able to work a rotating schedule

• MUST be available to work OT
