Maintenance Manager – (78235) upto $80K Opening, San Antonio, TX

Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring proper functioning of the equipment by developing and implementing an adapted and detailed preventive maintenance master plan, assuring accurate troubleshooting by trained maintenance technicians, and continuously improving all equipment in the production, packaging and warehousing areas, while maintaining the highest safety, quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions

· Organize the maintenance shop by providing the optimized spare parts inventory

· Organize the maintenance team across 5 shifts to properly troubleshoot and repair all equipment associated in the production, packaging areas, storage rooms, etc.

· Support continuous improvement, modification of job plans or work orders, inspection audits, assisting vendors who are on site for repairs

· Propose and monitor all necessary machinery and equipment adjustments and performs all tasks and duties necessary for efficient start-ups, daily operations, change-over and shut-downs

· Coordinate and assist in the installation of new machinery

· Identify, implement, and document maintenance and reliability best practices

· Provide training and continuous development for all maintenance personnel

· Create, plan, and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs on all equipment

· Update Preventive Maintenance plans based on data analysis of failures

· Monitor and control department budgets

· Maintain time and maintenance records, estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials

· Work directly with machine operators and production manager to resolve mechanical issues that arise during shifts/production

· Organize and delegate the repair of equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility as required

· Maintain industrial control system.

· Work with other departments on root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to help drive efficiency and yield

· Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required

· Develop and maintain quality and safety standards

Job Qualification Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent required in Electrical and Mechanical technology or industrial maintenance

· Ability to work a flexible schedule

· Education and/or experience with industrial electricity, automation control and mechanical repairs

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial/mechanical maintenance in a packaging manufacturing environment

· Minimum of 2 years in a management position in a food manufacturing environment

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) to look up part location/availability on computer using maintenance software, knowledge in AutoCAD would be a plus

· Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

· Ability to communicate with other managers and be able to explain electrical/mechanical processes and theory

· Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly

· Good problem-solving abilities and result-oriented

· Leadership skills (no safety violations, use proper PPE, show up to work on time..)

· Ability to work in extreme temperatures, and around machinery and chemicals
