Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for its Dallas plant. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of mechanical and technical skills to support the maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment, reducing downtime, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on production machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues by observing equipment, listening for malfunctions, and using precision tools.
- Adjust functional parts of machinery using hand tools and levels.
- Minimize production downtime by educating staff on preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
- Manage inventory by checking equipment, parts, and supplies, anticipating needs, and placing and expediting orders.
- Provide maintenance information by answering questions and preparing reports.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety rules and regulations.
- Continuously update technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing manuals, and networking.
- Document and communicate maintenance actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to ensure team continuity.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
Required Skills:
- Mechanical Maintenance: 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Preventive Maintenance Programs: Experience in executing and monitoring preventive maintenance programs.
- Packaging Equipment: Experience with case erectors, case sealers, and palletizers.
- Basic Electrical Knowledge: Familiar with 110/220/480-volt power systems.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds when necessary.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Pipe Fitting & Pump Repair: Experience with pipe fitting, pump, and plumbing repairs.
- Conveyor Systems Knowledge: Familiar with mechanical knowledge of conveyors and material transfer equipment.
- Building Maintenance: General experience with building maintenance tasks.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English): Ability to communicate in both Spanish and English.
- Liquid Fill Equipment: Experience with liquid filling machinery.
