Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm and 8:00am-12:00pm Friday

Job Functions

1. Cleans, paints, and refurbishes apartments as they become vacant

2. Installs and repairs plumbing and fixtures in apartments and community building

3. Makes repairs to appliances such as stoves and refrigerators; also cleans stoves and refrigerators in vacant apartments

4. Makes service calls for various repair work in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical according to work orders received

5. Replace window screens to include constructing window screen frames.

6. Replace glass windows of different sizes in all units including 2-story apartments

7. Repair/replace light fixtures, wall plugs and light switches

8. Repair/replace electric and gas check meters

9. Repair/replace floor tiles in dwelling and non-dwelling units.

10. Mows, edges, trims and performs other lawn landscaping jobs

11. Makes repair to mowers, edgers and other maintenance equipment

12. Cleans up and hauls off trash from property

13. Cleans out sewer lines when necessary, using appropriate tools and equipment

14. Repairs and replaces screen doors, window screens and/or hardware and replaces windowpanes and door locks as necessary

15. Cleans offices, warehouse, community center and keeps in an orderly condition

16. Reads electric and gas meters on a monthly basis

17. Services and maintains Authority vehicles

18. Reports unsafe conditions for apartments, grounds, and any other hazards to Maintenance Foreman and/or Executive Director

19. Assists maintenance supervisor when needed in gas pipeline inspection

20. Performs other duties in relation to maintenance as required or requested by Maintenance Foreman and/or Executive Director or duties that arise because of natural or man-made disaster

21. Reports all equipment that needs repair including Authority vehicles and all maintenance equipment; report should be made to Maintenance Foreman and/or Executive Director

22. Will be on rotating on-call duty nights, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
