Maintenance Technician Supervisor Opening, Albuquerque, NM

We are immediately hiring a Maintenance Technician Supervisor for a local leading company in Albuquerque, NM 

5 years of supervisory experience are needed. Must live within 15 minutes of the apartment complex in order to properly address maintenance issues right away (this job is an on-call position).

As a Maintenance Technician Supervisor you will: 
  • Review weekly maintenance schedule
  • Maintain schedule priority and compliance
  • Assign and reassign work as per priorities and emergencies
  • Ensure prompt repairs are done in times of emergency breakdowns
  • Report maintenance performance to Property Managers and Area Managers during major redevelopments. 
  • Perform maintenance projects and tasks with minimal supervision consistent with Company policy and direction from the community Manager. 
  • Assists with administration of maintenance functions, tracking of inventory, data entry of work orders, maintaining updated records in relation to Mold and Mildew Log, pool log etc. 
  • Submits reports to the corporate office regarding major repairs, this includes consumption of man hours, materials, tools and skills
  • Maintains the highest level of customer service for prospects, residents, vendors and corporate departments. 
  • Comply with company standards as defined in the Safety manual and applicable laws. (fair housing, landlord tenant, local building codes, OSHA, and EEOC)
  • Promote good communication and inter-department relations between maintenance and office staff. 
  • Perform repairs consisting of: Plumbing, Electrical, Painting and Drywall, as well as HVAC repairs.  
  • Maintain and manage property Exterior appearance as well. 
Maintenance Technician candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 or more years of industry experience or general contract maintenance 
  • 5 + years of supervisory Experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing and appliance repair with hands on experience. 
  • Knowledge of environmental/industrial hazards (asbestos, lead, mold, radon) as they apply to residential housing. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good computer skills, able to use Microsoft office suite as well as property management software. 
  • Able to work on your feet all day bending, stooping, twisting and lifting up to 50lbs on your own with no issues. 
  • Experience working with common hand tools. 
  • Have a safety first mindset
  • Able to be "on-Call" outside of normal working hours. 
  • Valid Drivers license and auto insurance
  • Able to read and write English as well as speak and understand English
  • Certification's are strongly preferred ( HVAC, CPO etc.)

This is a Full time Evaluation to Hire position
The standard schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (+ on call hours)
Pay for this position starts at $22.00 per hour or more DOE
