Our northwest client is looking for Manual Machinists
Work on various kinds of electromechanical equipment.
Preferred minimum level of education: high school diploma, plus the successful completion of a
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Ability to understand, perform and retain various skill-related training and operational and safety
procedures demonstrated by supervisor.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; talk and hear.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and
reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or
• Clearly see 20+ feet with or without corrective lenses. Have ability for close vision, distance
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Record all data necessary to produce expected service and /or design results, including sizing’s and illustrations.
Use Measuring devices and techniques correctly to assure proper sizings.
Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, and conventional milling and lathe work using various engine lathes (e.g. horizontal and vertical mills and horizontal boring mills)
Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment
Preform various metalizing (metal Spraying) techniques as needed (Optional)
Understand material and applications as required.
Perform various welding operations (e.g. precision surface facing), broaching procedures, and babbit bearing work
Use various hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools, i/c but not limited to: Band saws, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.
Lift, tighten, adjust/ secure heavy objects in order to perform work and to observe safety precautions
Keep work area neat and clean
Assist other machinist in dept.. with skilled or non skilled duties as directed by supervisor or service center mgr.
