- Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Pay Rate:
- $19–$21 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician I to join our production team. This role involves final product configuration, assembly, quality checks, and troubleshooting within a lean manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will contribute to production goals by performing assigned tasks with precision, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating effectively with team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and assemble products by reading and interpreting technical drawings, bills of materials, and engineering specifications.
- Operate computers to perform setup operations and verify product configuration.
- Perform soldering tasks and utilize tools such as digital multimeters.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of products and materials in the workstation.
- Conduct quality checks and document defects or required rework.
- Identify and resolve product issues using technical problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Required Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2–4 years of experience in mechanical or computer assembly.
- Technical or vocational training or certification may be required.
Required Skills:
- Intermediate computer navigation and utilization skills.
- Ability to use tools such as digital multimeters.
- High attention to detail and self-motivation.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with network routers and switches.
- Technical problem-solving expertise.
- Experience working in a lean production environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions and routine tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to see, speak, walk, hear, and use hands/fingers for handling tools and equipment.
- Specific vision abilities, including close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse environment near moving mechanical parts.
- Moderate noise level with typical office equipment (computers, telephones, copiers).
