We are now hiring for a Material Handler for a manufacturing company in New Braunfels, TX. Please submit your resume to this posting and call our office at 830-629-2525. 

Pay: $19-$21/hr DOE
Schedule: MUST BE OK WITH WORKING ROTATING SHIFTS!
Monday-Friday – Would start on an 8:00am-4:30pm schedule but will transition to a morning/afternoon rotating shift (4:00am-12:30pm / 12:00pm-8:30pm). 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Material handlers primarily move chemicals and other materials as needed throughout the manufacturing facility. They support the manufacturing operation by staging pallets/totes of raw materials, loading or unloading trucks, and storing raw materials in the warehouse with the use of a forklift or other means. They routinely address housekeeping needs and the maintenance of equipment to help maintain a safe and clean working environment. 
Material handlers also perform administrative tasks such as the upkeep of material inventory, and the efficient organization of the warehouse and other material storage areas.
This position may handle both hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals. 
All plant staff is required to participate and attend all safety and environmental training classes, provided by the organization. 
 
REQUIRED SKILLS:
 
  1. Safety First Mind-Set
  2. Proven hands-on warehouse or manufacturing facility experience 
  3. Experience loading/unloading bulk liquid trucks (strong plus)
  4. Familiarity with industry standard equipment 
  5. Forklift Certified
  6. Calm, yet effective ability to facilitate efficient cooperation between departments, customers, suppliers, and management. 
  7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities.   
  8. Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  9. 24-7 support mentality of plant and customer issues/emergencies
  10. Basic computer skills, including email, MS Word, Excel.  
 
PHYSICAL requirements:
 
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position including but not limited to: able to lift up to 75 lbs, stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time, squat/kneel, climb stairs/ladders, able to grip/grasp/pinch and reach overhead, work in a variety of environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc).
