Immediately hiring a Mechanic for a large trailer company in San Antonio. Pay is up to $20/hr. depending on experience.
Shift is M-F 8am-5pm.
Duties:
- Identify issues with mechanical and electrical systems as well as suspension systems
- Repairing or replacing damaged or worn parts
- brakes, tires, suspension components, chassis components, mud flap brackets, dolly leg assemblies, flooring, rub rails, doors, door trim, panels, nose panels, and lower and upper rails
- Testing equipment and systems for performance
- Preventative maintenance
- Welding and fabrication work as needed for repairs
- Documenting repairs: Maintaining accurate records of all work performed
- Must have knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems
- Mechanical assembly of trailers required
- Track inventory and order new parts when required
- Ability to use various hand and power tools
- Must be able to follow instructions/schematics
- Strong attention to detail and be mechanically inclined
- Environment is in an open-air shop with no AC
