VIP is currently looking for qualified Assembly Technicians for a dynamic heavy equipment machinery assembly/building environment.

Job Type: Temp to Full Time Hire

Job Duties/Responsibilities: (may include, but are not limited to)

• Assemble and build specialized equipment and associated attachments

• Aligning and securing heavy machinery components as directed by work instruction

• Capability to understand components and inspect to see they are in proper operating condition

• Aligning and installing gaskets, seals, bearings, hoses, covers, and visual components

• Utilize best common practices when assembling mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components

• Participates in training programs for the development of skills and knowledge

• Cross train in other departments

• Performs duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner

• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion

• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

• Inspect parts and materials to ensure they are free from quality defects

• Perform audits and carry out quality inspections to correct known defects

• Perform torque audits, leak tests, and visual inspection on all parts

Experience, Education, Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong mechanical skills

• Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions

• Knowledgeable in the assembly and troubleshooting of mobile hydraulics and electrical componentry

• Understanding the associated tasks involved with installation and building up of machined fabrications

• Strong diagnostic skills

• Able to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to work as a team member
