- $24–$31.25 per hour
Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer/Quoter to join our team, combining technical expertise with customer service to deliver precise manufacturing quotes and interpret client needs effectively. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in manufacturing and part design who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not mandatory for individuals with equivalent hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand technical requirements and specifications.
- Prepare accurate and timely manufacturing quotes based on client needs.
- Utilize knowledge of part design, manufacturing processes, and materials to develop solutions.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to ensure accurate quotes and project feasibility.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with clients.
- Continuously improve quoting accuracy by analyzing past projects and client feedback.
Required Experience:
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing or mechanical part design.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Required Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
- Ability to deliver accurate, detailed quotes under tight deadlines.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Experience in cost estimation or project management.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Work Environment:
- Office setting with occasional visits to manufacturing areas.
- Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and multitasking.
