We are seeking a skilled Metal Manufacturing Machine Operator/Quality Control Technician to join our team in the Oak Cliff area. In this role, you will operate metal fabrication machines, ensure product quality, and maintain detailed records. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, math proficiency, and experience in metal fabrication and quality control processes.
Key
Shift:
- 8am – 5pm
- Monday – Thursday
Responsibilities:
- Operate and program metal fabrication machines, including using machine control screens.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Maintain accurate production records and quality control documentation.
- Ensure machinery operates efficiently and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with production team members to meet production goals and standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing required PPE such as steel-toe boots.
Required Experience:
- Metal Fabrication: Previous experience in metal manufacturing and machine operation.
- Quality Control: Proven experience in quality control processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Machine Programming: Experience with programming and operating machine control interfaces.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Previous recordkeeping experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment with an emphasis on safety.
Required Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery.
- Proficiency in mathematics for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and write clearly for documentation and reports.
- Reliability and punctuality with a complete, detailed resume.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic computer literacy for programming machine control screens.
- Familiarity with workplace safety standards and use of PPE.
- Fluency in following written and verbal instructions in English.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have steel-toe boots.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
