Immediately hiring an Overhead Crane Operator for a large metal manufacturing/distribution plant on the northeast side of San Antonio.
Pay is $18/hr.
Secon shift 1:45pm (8-10 hr. shift)
Duties:
- Operates overhead crane to move large material throughout manufacturing shop
- Will assist metal manufacturing production when not operating overhead crane
- Prepares material and line in accordance with specifications
- Verify, weigh, bind, and tag unit
- Discharge material from the line and place it on the corresponding skid
- Ensures all products meet customer specifications
- Thread the line, verify material dimensions, and adjust speed and tension to produce a quality product
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to required dimensions and tolerances
- Inspect parts for defects and ensure the quality and precision of finished products
Requirements:
- Seeking at least 1 yr. of Overhead Crane operating experience
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to use measuring tape
- Must be able to follow instructions and schematics
- Machine/production experience required
- Prior metals experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction
- Repetitive movement while operating machines, standing the entire shift, bending, stooping
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
