VIP Staffing-South Dallas is currently seeking an experienced Paint Prepper for a large sign manufacturing warehouse located in Cedar Hill, TX. The ideal candidates should be able to prep product for paint  

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an auto body prepper, automobile prepper, paint prepper, or in a similar role within the automotive collision repair industry.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections or flaws in surfaces.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to follow safety precautions and protocols.

• $18-22 per hour.
• Over Time available.
• Full time.

• 1st Shift (6am-2:30pm).
• Monday-Friday (must be available to work weekends).
• Prep for a paint job by performing thorough sanding, masking, and priming procedures, ensuring smooth and flawless surfaces.
• Inspect to identify imperfections, scratches, or dents that require repair or attention.
• Using appropriate tools and paint sprayer equipment to perform necessary repairs and adjustments.
• Utilizing paint tools and techniques for a paint job such as a spray gun, paint thinner, epoxy primer, clear coat, new paint, heavy paints, remove paint and old paint, entire vehicle, etc.
• Using a process for primer, block sand, body filler, filler material, sandpaper grit, masking tape, etc.
• Collaborate with the paint team to ensure proper color matching and paint application techniques for painting.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and best practices related to repair and painting.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to ensure a seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
