Assistant Company Manager/Project Manager/Estimator

Requirements:

Extensive paint estimating, takeoff and project management skill & experience

Conceptual paint estimating experience a plus

Experience with Excel, Word & “On Center/On Screen Take-Off Software

College degree preferred in Construction/Business/Accounting preferred but not required

In the case of former military, experience in construction supervision and material

procurement and would be considered

Supervisory experience of small group

Duties:

Handle routine trials, tribulation, calls and problems related to full management of a

commercial painting operation

Set the expectations and tone for businesses economic success

Direct overall projects, GC’s and competitive approach to bidding

Direct overall estimating activities of another permanent estimator as well as part time

assistance from the retiring manager

Monitor company cashflow & collections. Coordinate with retiring manager & bank.

Control timely issuance of change orders and communication with

Field Superintendent/Partner

Adjust unit bid rates, as necessary, with the approval of the retiring manager

Direct subcontractor activities in conjunction with the Superintendent. (Tape, float &

vinyl wall covering)

Direct and distribute paint vendor PO distribution and pricing analysis

Review, approve and correct all vendor invoicing for payment

Review and negotiate contract language for final review of the Manager
