We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter and Finisher to join our team at a cabinet-making company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for painting, staining, and finishing wood cabinetry to achieve high-quality results that meet our clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation: Prepare wood surfaces for painting and finishing by sanding, filling, and cleaning as needed.
- Application: Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, sprayers, or other tools to achieve a smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing result.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for flaws, ensuring color consistency and smooth finishes that meet company standards.
- Maintenance: Properly maintain and clean tools, equipment, and the workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Documentation: Read and follow detailed instructions, work orders, and specifications in English. Accurately record materials used and job progress.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and finishing materials.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a painter/finisher, preferably in cabinetry or woodwork.
- Knowledge of different finishing techniques and materials, including paints, stains, and sealants.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
- Familiarity with basic maintenance of finishing tools and spray equipment is a plus.
Compensation:
