Immediately hiring a Production an Inventory Manager for a large metal fabrication shop that specializes in high-quality custom metalwork for various industries. The Production and Inventory Manager will oversee all aspects of the production process within facility. This role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Annual salary is $57,000. This Direct Hire position is located on southside of San Antonio.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, Friday-half day
Key Responsibilities: Production and Inventory control
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization. Monitor production progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure on-time delivery.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor production staff, including Paint line workers, welders, and assemblers. Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and address any personnel issues. Ensure compliance with hiring/employment practices
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications. Implement and maintain quality control procedures and address any defects or issues promptly.
- Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Conduct regular safety audits and address any hazards or safety concerns.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Reporting: Prepare and present production reports to senior management, highlighting performance, production goals, and any issues or improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, demonstrated experience and knowledge of MRP systems, further ERP understanding a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Software experience including word, excel, MS Office and google platform.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards in metal fabrication. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Qualities: strong work ethic, works well under pressure, highly organized initiative taker who can self-direct and self-prioritize work. Thrives in a fast past environment.
- Education: Associates degree with manufacturing/Business concentration preferred.
Certifications Desired (or wiliness to pursue)
- Forklift Operation Certification
- OSHA Conformance Certification
