QA Supervisor Opening, Rio Rancho, NM

Support and implement quality systems requirements in research and design for repair, assembly and test, and customer support. Perform quality tasks such as assisting in the repair development with the QAE, product evaluations, process monitoring, supplied part problem resolution, data analysis and lead/participate in various process improvement initiatives. Perform nonconforming hardware disposition, and coordinate/ensure root cause analysis and effective corrective action is implemented.

The Supervisor is to coordinate shop floor inspections with the production personnel and evaluate and determine authorized repair schemes per the Current Aircraft and Engine Manuals.

Will be supervising the Inspection Staff Such as Receiving Inspectors and floor Inspectors

Must Have:

• Working familiarization with Federal Aviation Regulations, personnel and agencies

• Working understanding and implementation of FAR, EASA,CASE and AS9100 Quality Systems

• Working and understanding of Metrology

Must Be able to:

• Recommend inspection instrumentation, tooling and jigs as appropriate to quality requirements.

• Have a fundamental understanding of modern quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics.

• Teach and instruct QA and theory to departments, personnel in quality system and FAA requirements

Will have a fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation, and implementation with respect to domestic and international standards or requirements.

Must have a thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. This includes knowledge of management and planning tools, quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.

• Generate Program QA plans and inspection planning

• Participate in program and design reviews to ensure that product quality objectives are met.

• Recommend inspection instrumentation, tooling and jigs as appropriate to quality requirements.

• Train and educate suppliers in quality system requirements, including FAA training and supplier certification training. (When required)

• Provide assistance to manufacturing to interpret and clarify quality requirements as necessary.

• Ensure that project and /or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.

• Customer Support

o Interface with Airline customers on program related issues

o Provide appropriate information and quality program status to customers on QA related issues.

o Provide liaison with customer quality representatives relating to surveys, source inspections, interpretation of quality requirements and resolution of quality issues.

• Review and generate QA procedures and work instructions in support of AM&R quality system

• Assesses quality performance using analytical methods.

• Analyze failures, determine cause, determine responsibility, initiate corrective action.

• Process Improvement

• Supports process improvement efforts through selected projects and support of value streams.
