QC Inspector Steel Manufacturing –

Job Description:

Read and interpret engineering fabrication drawings.

Have a detailed working knowledge of incoming steel inspections, including performing basic weight calculations for steel. Understanding the concepts of measurement and tolerance. Must be able to read and interpret reference material including steel catalogs/ specifications provided by steel mills.

Must have a working knowledge of machine tooling used for punching holes/slots in structural steel.

Must be able to identify defective fabrication patterns and know possible causes.

Take measurements in accordance with existing policies and procedures, enter data into QC record sheets and flag out of tolerance parameters.

1st Shift 6am-Finish

$17 to $ 20.00 depending on experience.
