Quality Control Inspector
VIP Staffing South Dallas is in search for position Quality Control Inspector for a ground support warehouse facility located in Dallas, TX (75238). Maintains quality standards by inspecting incoming materials, finished products; then recording quality results and providing data entry, major Duties and responsibilities.Perform quality control incoming inspection on all items used in manufacturing process, with primary emphasis on custom fabricated sheet metal parts.
- Maintain equipment Calibration system and records
- Perform limited shelf-life items audits (FAA)
- Evaluate ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) to determine impact on materials
- Flexibility to work on multiple assignments
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
- Provide support to all phases of assembly and test areas as needed for guidance on
- Quality related issues
- Perform In-Process Inspections as needed in the assembly area
- Perform Final Inspection on outgoing material shipments
- Document nonconforming material, documentation and processes clearly and accurately
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with a standardized Quality Management system (ISO 9000 etc.)
- Working knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards
- Proficiency in the use of computers, including working knowledge of Adobe, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to determine quality criteria
- Ability to comprehend numbers on drawings, work orders, process sheets, and work instructions
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required
- Good communication (oral and written) skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to write, read and speak English fluently
- Ability to keyboard, see, hear, manipulate parts manually, push, pull and reach
Required:
- Documented US Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status
- High School Degree or equivalent1 year of QC experience
- 1 year of QC experience
