Immediately hiring a Die Cutter Operator for a large manufacturing company Schertz. Will be operating the rotary die cutting machine to cut shapes out of material in production.
Pay is $17-$18/hr. depending on experience
Shift is Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm, Saturdays as required – must be flexible to work Mon-Sat
Duties:
- Responsible for setting up and operating die cutting machines to produce precision-cut materials
- Set up and operate die cutting machines, ensuring proper alignment and configuration
- Review job specifications to determine cutting requirements, materials, and quantities
- Monitor the die cutting process to ensure quality and adherence to production standards
- Adjust machine settings as necessary to achieve desired cutting results and maintain quality control
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of die cutting equipment
- Maintain accurate production records, including job quantities and any issues encountered during production
- Monitor box quality for issues such as loose liner, warp, correct size, and print
- Operate machinery efficiently to maximize capacity and speed
- Complete and submit accurate reports, including production data, machine operational status, safety, and quality data
- Submit maintenance work orders and proactively maintain equipment
- Follow production schedules and suggest improvements to optimize costs, quality, and service
- Inspect cutting dies and anilox rolls before and after each run, ensuring all bolts are secure and any necessary repairs are addressed
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating die-cutting or similar machinery
- Bilingual preferred
- Proficient in setting up and operating die-cutting machinery
- Must have Rotary machine operating experience
- Ability to inspect and repair cutting dies and other equipment components
- Strong understanding of box quality standards (liner, warp, size, and print)
