VIP Staffing- South Dallas is seeking a shipping lead for a manufacturing facility located in Grand Prairie, TX. Will be handling material and assisting through out warehouse in all departments where needed including maintenance department.
Must have Valid Drivers License.
Pay: $20-$21
Shift: 8am-5pm
Schedule: Monday-Friday
A shipping lead manages the shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse, including:
- Shipping: Ensuring accurate and timely shipping, including packing, loading, and processing shipments
- Receiving: Ensuring accurate and timely receiving, including processing items received on purchase orders
- Inventory: Maintaining inventory, including monitoring and recording inventory movement
- Quality control: Performing quality checks
- Training: Leading, training, and supervising shipping associates

- Communication: Communicating across the business
- Problem solving: Handling and resolving discrepancies in inventory or shipping/receiving processes
- Communication: Communicating across the business
Other responsibilities include:
- Pulling orders and stocking inventory daily

Sourcing and providing rate quotes to sales

Scheduling and coordinating deliveries with vendors and/or offsite contractors

Substituting for other shipping/receiving staff
Some qualifications for a shipping lead role include:

- Strong reasoning and proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Microsoft applications
- Working knowledge of shipping and receiving laws and regulations
- Experience in a supervisory or management role within a warehouse or logistics environment
