The warehouse Shipping/Receiving Lead primary responsibility is to pick customer orders, put away goods, and perform general warehousing duties. While maintaining customers inventory. This position requires the individual to be able to operate a forklift use RF guns for order picking and update order in the warehouse management system. This person must have the appropriate forklift training and certification per OSHA standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately loads and unloads customer’s product for inbound and outbound shipments

• Moves product from staging and storage areas into trailers or containers

• Locates goods in the racking system and other documented locations

• Picks and prepares orders in accordance with customer requirements

• Checks to make sure trailers/containers and customer loads are secure and in good condition

• Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, inspects goods to verify conformance to the company’s cGMP’s, OSHA, FDA, AIB, and ISO 9001 standards

• Works with Shipping and Receiving documents as required to process customer orders

• Attends supervisor’s daily meetings to go over tasks and discuss issues or opportunities to improve operations

• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area

• Helps maintain the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of the warehouse

• Operates warehouse equipment as required to perform tasks in a safe, attentive, and purposeful manner

Basic Job Requirements/Desired Skills

• Minimum of 3 years’ forklift experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Basic math, language, reading, and computer skills as may be required

• Forklift certification per OSHA standards (required for sit down Electric Forklift Operator)

• Knowledge of Shipping and Receiving documents

• Ability to follow direction and perform tasks in an accurate, timely, and safe manner

• Experience in using Radio Frequency (RF) scanner

• Previous experience using data base WMS I.E. SAP, Oracle, RedPrairie (Perferred)

• Experience with FedEx Ship Manager and UPS World Ship

• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season

• Good hand-eye and foot coordination, as well as sense of balance

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly as required to move customer inventory

• Must pass a drug test

• Must pass a background check
