The SMT Operator is a key individual responsible for day to day operations in the automated production area.  The SMT Machine Operator will help setup and verify trolleys to match setup sheets, understand process/documentation, tear down, and run all production equipment related to PCBA production.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for driving culture, efficiency, quality and continuous improvement

• Participate in the setup process, including: programming of the Screen Printer, Juki Pick and Place Machines, and Reflow Oven

• Perform manual component placement and inspection

• Perform detailed quality inspection of assembled circuit boards

• Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs

• Make sure all process tools, stencils, and or fixtures are in house before starting the set up process

• Keep current with the jobs that are scheduled to run each day

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of two years’ experience operating SMT equipment in a fast paced environment. Juki experience is a plus.

• Good working knowledge of ESD, IPC-A-610 , ISO 9001

• Ability to read and comprehend process documentation including Bills of Materials and Assembly work instructions

• Component Identification Ability required

• Must have the ability to carry out detailed written instructions

• Candidates with Electronic Manufacturing and Lean experience are preferred
