The Job:

This role is critical to shaping the long-term strategic direction of our software company. You will lead our analysis of acquisition opportunities from initial review through accepted offer- ensuring timely feedback to sellers and high-quality measurement against our mandate.

You are deductive and prefer to think in nuance and specifics rather than generalities– applying subject matter expertise and intellectual curiosity to unique businesses. You love running a process and are comfortable diving into complex situations, thinking through the implications of multiple variables, and translating your insights into actionable intelligence.

We have ambitious inorganic growth targets. You will help us efficiently analyze hundreds of deals while adhering to a rigorous evaluation process. We succeed long term if we do the right deals. Your job is to make sure that happens.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

• Review, qualify, and present pre-offer investment opportunities to the Corporate Development team

• Compose investment memos, build detailed valuation models, and perform scenario analysis to support investment theses

• Partner with key business unit executives and corporate development associates to evaluate opportunities, synthesize quantitative and qualitative data, and drive to informed decisions

• Analyze industries and products of interest to us and develop execution strategies

• Support and report on deal flow and deal team operations

Desired Skills

• 2 – 5 years of experience in a highly analytical environment

• Extensive experience conducting quantitative/ financial analysis and developing recommendations based on this analysis

• Experience developing analytical frameworks and communicating concepts to leadership

• Experience with finance accounting concepts and forecasting

• Extremely proficient with Excel

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience

Remote-OK, for now but we will need you in the San Antonio Office eventually.
